Homework and Daily Agenda

A Block - Grade 12 Honors English
Homework:
- Read letters 1-4 from Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley.
- Be prepared to discuss these letters in class.
- Bring your textbook to class tomorrow.
- Vocabulary Unit 7 Quiz on Friday, 12/19
What happened in class today?
- I collected the essays and textbooks for Hamlet.
- Students received the novel Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley.
- Intro activity:  What do you think of when you hear the name "Frankenstein"?

C Block - Grade 11 Honors English
Homework:
- Complete Reading Act I from Death of a Salesman
- Be prepared for a short quiz on Act I tomorrow.
- Use the questions and class PowerPoint as a study guide.
- A Vocabulary Unit 7 Quiz will take place on Thursday, 12/18
What happened in class today?
- I collected the student responses from the poetry packet.
- We performed an in-class reading for Act I of Death of a Salesman.
- At the end of class we discussed how Arthur Miller's essay, Tragedy and the Common Man
surfaces in the play.

D Block - Film and Literature
Homework:
- Read the rest of Part II, Borden from The Prestige by Christopher Priest.
- Be prepared to discuss this section during our next class session.
What happened in class today?
- We viewed a good portion of the film during the long block period today.
- We reviewed the film for film technique which enhances the gothic elements in the film.

F Block - Grade 11 Honors English
